Large Cotswold Country Garden

Journey through the garden

Family home on the edge of the Cotswolds.

Here we have created a large family patio outside the kitchen for dining and sunbathing, from here paths lead off to a gorgeous timber pergola planted with yellow roses and pale blue clematis or into a beautiful formal garden with a large urn as a centre piece. The journey through the garden continues down new stone steps to the terraced lawns.

There is also a smaller terrace for the evening sun outside the lounge and a path at the side of the house which is laid to shingle (due to very shallow foundations) and planted with alpines.

The formal front garden is planted with pink roses, standard hollies, blue asters and lavender to edge the paths.

This Cotswold garden now makes the most of the views to the hills beyond and has also created a visual link into the pony paddock from the house.
