Old tarmac school playground now a colourful family garden

This garden was once a tarmac school playground. It is now a beautiful garden with a place to sit and dine and a rose parterre. There are two lawns, a garden shed and oak frame car port. We have used a mix of materials to reflect the local vernacular including Hornton stone, red brick and limestone. The curved wall raised bed creates a focal point from inside the house and is planted with roses, perennials, bulbs and Ceanothus, Hebes and yew spheres for winter structure.
